Just Watching The Days Go By…

Wow! We’re coming up on month 3 and one week this Saturday! Time flies by. Souljur is now an official SDiT!!! Here is a list of everything Souljur knows [ and actually knows, I do not have to request him 50 times to do it each time... although I don't have to do that anyway ;) ]: – sit [ stay ] – down [ stay ] – stay [ yards away or feet away, and he will also stay if I go out of sight and lock the door ] – beg [ he could be better at this though ] – jump [ same as above ] – roll over – play dead – heel [ all the way loose or short lead... yes, he could be off leash if I wanted but he chases rabbits so not a good idea ] – wait [ even with meaty hot dogs falling on the floor, favorite toy being thrown, or for food... oh and yes, I can get all the way across the yard before I release him... and he doesn't go after it ] – Crawl [ and crawling under my leg ] – Spin [ both ways ] – Through [ going through my legs... it's a dance move. He can go backwards, forwards, or even through them without me moving ] – Bow – “Still” [ which is where he goes under my legs and stays there ] – Circle [ circling around me ] – Under [ under my legs ] – “Step-up” [ to step onto things: helpful for brushing teeth, posing for pics, etc. ] – “Slow” [ going up and down stairs to not scratch the hardwood or when we're on a run, slowing to a walk or a stop without me holding the leash to prompt him ] – Gentle [ when he eats treats, not to bite my hand off HAHA ] – Sit and wait [ I can drop the leash

LIAM is a special Dog

ADOPTED 6/9/09!!. PETFINDER.COM www.petfinder.com Liam is about 35 lbs and 9 months old. His exact mix is unknown but he definitely has a lot of German Shepard in him. He won’t get any bigger than maybe 45 pounds as he is a mix with a smaller breed. William is neutered, current on shots, and microchipped. He is a somewhat timid dog upon initial meeting, unsure of what the world has to offer him. But he learns to trust his family quickly. Liam is very intelligent, crate trained, potty trained, great at the dog park, LOVES cats, knows how to sit, stay, even shake. He is nervous when someone new wants to meet him but quickly trust and is a love bug. His Foster Family is very picky about the home he goes to they want him to find the perfect home. Liam’s new home should: – allow him to live indoor yet have access to outside – willing to take him for training (he is very intelligent and could be a working dog) -own their own home with a secure back yard – NO CHILDREN (he would become quickly attached for a child and be very protective) He is a bit mouthy right now but that will go away with age. – willing to exercise him daily (he has a lot of energy as he is a puppy still) – have general understanding of a fearful dogs (knowing how to introduce him to company and strangers) For more information feel free to call Jennette at his foster family’s home in Pittsburg, CA 925-788-7971 Please go www.ahan.org to apply on the online application.
